8 months at Christmas!

We're a couple days late this month.  Domino & Midnight turned 8 months old on Christmas Eve.

They spent 3 nights at Granny's house--but I was there, too.  They were timid at first, but had fun exploring the spare bedroom. This is where they'll stay when I travel, so they got a chance to see it (and meet my dad, who hadn't seen them yet) before I drop them off & vanish for several nights.  We had some good cuddles, too.

I think they're happy to be home, though. Their cousins (my brother's cats, Sammi and Tillie) bought them a Christmas present.  I think they like it.  This thing is almost as tall as I am!

(Please forgive the mess in the floor; I need to do some rearranging so I can put it against the wall. It has an anchor if I need it.)

One of my students gave them a mechanical butterfly that spins around. It jitters and bounces pretty realistically. Fortunately, it's pretty sturdy, too!

And one of my coworkers and his wife gave them adorable little loaves of bread full of catnip:

All in all, I'd say they had a good Christmas (and maybe I talk about them too much at school...).

Some pics just for cuteness:

Until next time, keep purring!
