Domi & Midi are 13 months old today. In July we get to celebrate their "gotcha" day, when I adopted them.
They've grown so much since I got them.
Same window...
We've completely transitioned to adult cat food. Their leftover kitten food was donated to a friend who had just rescued a litter of kittens. So far, these two will eat anything I've tried, with the exception of turkey. They seem to prefer seafood, but chicken is good, too. I'm feeding Friskies pate and Purina One chicken dry. Midi still prefers wet and Domi prefers dry but they usually eat a lite of both. Fortunately, they're no longer bottomless pits.
I'm off from school right now (and I've had a nasty sinus infection), so we've been doing a lot of snuggling. They're a lot of company.
They're also getting into things. Midi has been known for mad dashes out the front door for a while, preferably in the dark, but recently Domi's been darting out, too. It doesn't help that the screen frequently doesn't shut on its own. So far, he hasn't gotten off the porch.
Domi has started climbing things, too. I caught him on top of the closet door, on the mantle, and trying to climb the pole of the apple picker. At least one of them has gotten on top of the bookcase in the bedroom (which is too high for me to reach); no one was caught but they knocked some of the stuffed animals down.
They're a lot calmer now, but when they play, they play hard. Midi chases her tail, still, and they both chase bugs. The windows are open again, so they've taken up ornithology.
Next month, they get to go to their Granny's house for just over a week while I grade AP exams. We'll see how well that goes.
Until next time, keep purring!
